Nicholas Sheran Park
Nicholas Sheran Park is a 106-ac day-use park in the heart of West Lethbridge. The 5.6 km of paved and shale trails are well used for gentille bike rides, walking the youngsters in baby buggies, jogging, blading and by those out for a leisurely stroll. An extensive playground and a nearby picnic shelter provide a stopping place along the walkway that wraps around the small lake in the centre of the park. This water feature is fed by the Lethbridge Northern Irrigation District, and nestles among expansive green lawns and groups of mature trees.
A novel attraction at Nicholas Sheran Park is the 18-hole disc (Frisbee) golf course. The course helps you explore the park as do errant discs that on occasion wind up in the lake. Large trout are stocked in the pond and year-round fishing is available.
Ball diamonds, a soccer pitch and basketball hoops are located at the north end of the park.
